As many as I can to help my client find the best possible promotional product, so they get the best value from their limited marketing budget.
These questions would include (amongst others)
· When is the promotional item are required for?
· What type of promotional product do you have in mind?
· Who is your target audience and who will receive this promotional merchandise?
These questions ensure we are both on the same page. I know what my client expects and based on my feedback, they also know what I will provide and why.
Following the initial meeting and when all questions are answered, I will then work in partnership with the client, this means that a timeframe for every stage of the order is mutually agreed.
I have found this is the best way to go forward with any promotional merchandise order because it means that the client knows the two most important deadlines that I require from them. These are;
the deadline to place their order with me by, and the deadline of when the artwork needs to be supplied.
I will also need to have a Pantone reference for the print colour, and artwork approved
by a certain time.
If this has been set out at the beginning, especially if the time scale in which to produce product by is small, then with the client and myself doing what has been agreed, this will enable a successful outcome – great promotional merchandise which is delivered on time!
