When was the last time you received something exciting in the post? How about sending something in the post for your clients and customers to enjoy?
What's the average size of a letter box in the UK? How can we utilise this to our advantage when it comes to promotional items and wowing our clients and customers?
Throughout 2024, I will be focusing on letterbox marketing as a whole and discussing what items would best fit this strategy.
I’ve been working with promotional products for years, when discussing options for promotional products with clients, so it’s safe to say that I tend to think about the things that you didn’t know needed thinking about. I know what works for certain clients and what may not work. I can advise what’s on trend and what is on its way out! So, contact me to discuss your requirements.
Letterbox marketing is a type of direct marketing strategy. Promotional materials, such as printed materials or promotional goods, are delivered directly to consumers' letterboxes.
Letterbox marketing is a great way for businesses to reach a targeted audience in a specific geographic area or to keep in touch with existing clients and customers. Letterbox marketing aims to raise awareness about a brand or event and encourage recipients to take some desired action, such as making a purchase or attending an event.
There are several reasons why businesses within the UK tend to invest in letterbox marketing. Some of the main benefits are;
Targeted Distribution: Marketers can choose specific neighbourhoods or areas to distribute their promotional merchandise. They can also target specific customers or clients if they know their address. This allows for a more targeted approach to reach the desired audience.
Tangible Products: Unlike digital marketing, letterbox marketing involves physical materials and, in this case, promotional products that recipients can hold and use. This can create a tangible connection between the recipient and the brand. Items such as ice scrapers, pens, coasters, etc, are all items that the average person will use on a daily basis.
Brand Visibility: By placing promotional products directly in potential customers' hands and ensuring they are usable items, businesses will increase brand visibility and recognition.
Call-to-Action: Letterbox marketing can include a call-to-action depending on the items selected. Some of the items available from me have an area for a QR code so that your mailing list can click through to your website. This can prompt recipients to visit an online store, use a coupon code, or take other steps.
Measurable Results: As with all marketing campaigns, tracking the results is one of the most important steps. Marketers can track the success of their letterbox marketing campaigns by monitoring responses or tracking QR code clicks.
I am running an entire year-long campaign focused on Letterbox marketing this year. I will be selecting one product per month which is suitable for letterbox marketing and giving you all the information you need to know about it.
